The family of an ‘energetic funny loving young boy’ who died after being struck by a car in Oldham have paid an emotional tribute to him.
Ethan Allen, 15, tragically died in hospital on Thursday (May 23), two days after being hit by a car on Rochdale Road. Emergency services were called to the crash at around 8:10pm on Tuesday May (21).
Police said a black Seat Ibiza travelling northbound collided with Ethan who entered the road from the driver’s nearside. He has since been released on bail. It's understood Ethan, a pupil at Oasis Academy Leesbrook in Oldham, had been out with friends and was crossing the street with his 14-year-old girlfriend Olivia when he was hit near the junction with King Street.
