Facebook down as users complain of 'total blackout' and news feed not working

The site, which monitors issues with online platform, said there was a huge spike in people reporting they could not access Facebook at all.
An error message facing users states: "This Page Isn't Available Right Now. "This may be because of a technical error that we're working on to fix.
Try reloading this page." New England and Chicago are showing high rates of outages. Many have taken to Twitter to complain about the site being down.
