'Extra' TV Show Renewed by Fox, But Billy Bush Is Not Yet Confirmed to Return

Billy Bush is currently the host of Fox’s entertainment news show Extra and even though the show is renewed for another season, it’s unclear if he’ll be returning.

The show aired on NBC for years and moved to Fox in 2019, with Billy joining the show as the new host. He has remained on the show for six seasons.

Deadline confirms that Extra is returning to Fox for season 32 in Fall 2025, but Billy‘s future is uncertain. Keep reading to find out more… “There has been speculation that he may be leaving after six seasons but that has not been determined yet, sources said,” the outlet reported.

Negotiations with Billy will now begin following the show’s renewal. 17 television shows have already been canceled in 2025 across all of the major networks and streamers.
