A team of specialist divers have found 'no signs' of a missing grandmother who was swept away during severe flooding in Aberdeenshire last year.Hazel Nairn, 71, vanished as she walked her dog in Monymusk on November 18, 2022.
There has been no sign of her since flooding hit the area. An extensive search party was launched in an effort to locate Hazel but cops called off the search on January 5, and the gran has never been found.
Aberdeen Live reports that an elite voluntary group from England called Beneath the Surface offered their services to Hazel's heartbroken family.The group began their search of the River Don on Saturday, September 30 and were assisted by other volunteers in the north-east including Aberdeen Diving Services Ltd, Aberdeen Sub Aqua Club and Aberdeenshire Drone Services.
Work continued into Sunday and clothing was discovered but they were not believed to have belonged to Hazel.After concluding the search, Beneath the Surface said its team would return to Aberdeenshire in the future in an effort to bring closure to Hazel's family.
