Exam results: Record number of North Ayrshire pupils achieve Nat 5 and Higher qualifications
dailyrecord.co.ukNorth Ayrshire school pupils achieved National 5 and Higher qualifications this year.Final exam results were sent to more than 3300 senior pupils in the region last week.And North Ayrshire Council say early analysis shows 'continued success at a range of levels.'A highest ever 82 per cent of S4 pupils achieved at least one National 5 qualification in North Ayrshire this year, with over 40 per cent achieving at least five National 5 qualifications.A total of 3716 Highers were achieved (at grades A-C) in local schools — surpassing previous achievements at this level — with more than a quarter of all S5 pupils in North Ayrshire earning at least four Highers this year.In addition, a record 432 Advanced Highers were awarded (at grades A-C) to S6.
