Weather data analysis has pinpointed the exact dates when major UK cities can expect to see ground frost, with one city set to be hit as early as this month.
This means gardeners across the country are now in a race against time to protect their plants from the impending freeze. Polhill Garden Centre has warned that frost is a silent killer that can strike unexpectedly and even occur when air temperatures seem safe.
They also noted that frost can damage or quickly destroy your plants, but the exact date you can expect to see it depends on where in the country you're located.
Glasgow and Edinburgh are predicted to be hit first, on October 31st and November 14th respectively, with the last date on the list being November 22nd in Manchester.
