The 35-year-old singer gracefully accepted defeat, continuing to enjoy his night in Rotterdam before issuing an emotional statement on Monday.
But he also took a swipe at ex-Good Morning Britain host Piers over his opinion on his Eurovision effort. Piers tweeted at the weekend: "The UK didn't get 'nul points' in the Eurovision Song Contest because of some sinister revenge for Brexit.
