The closure of the Mancunian Way for annual repairs has been rescheduled, the council has announced. The Manchester Evening Newsreported earlier in the week that the A635 would be shut this coming weekend, from 5am on March 12 to 7pm the following day, March 17, for its yearly repairs to take place.
This was because the week after, City were due to play at home, with large swathes of traffic expected throughout Manchester.
However, following the change of football fixtures, the council decided that the weekend of 19th and 20th March would actually offer the 'least disruption' for road users and have rescheduled the repairs.
