Alistair Appleton, the beloved host of Escape to the Country, was viewers' rock during Monday's emotional episode. The BBC favourite started the show introducing Kerry, a solo home seeker who'd spent over 20 years in her Maidstone three-bed, but with her heart set on Dorset since forever, especially with her children fully grown.
Sharing with fans, Kerry admitted, "My heart has always been in Dorset even though I've been away for so long.To finally be coming back is just amazing." On this particularly poignant chapter, after reuniting with her mum following four decades apart due to her mum leaving when she was 16, as reported by Somerset Live, Kerry had £375,000 to splash on her dream home – envisioning double bedrooms, workspace, and a lush garden oasis.
Emotions were on the sleeve from the start, Kerry couldn't hold back tears when confessing to Alistair what returning to Dorset means to her.
On their journey, the first property charmed Kerry right away, yet it was the enigmatic 'mystery house' in the lovely village of Mappowder that stole the show.
