Former Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has been spotted for the first time in a football stadium since being sacked by the club on Monday.

Ten Hag was dismissed after United won just four of their opening 14 matches in all competitions this season, following on from last season's disappointing eighth place finish in the Premier League - their worst ever result in the competition.

He flew back to the Netherlands once his future was decided and he has wasted little time to be back among the football action, as he was spotted at Heracles Almelo's Erve Asito stadium. Ten Hag is from the east of the country, so it was perhaps not a major surprise he tipped up in Almelo which is a 28 minute drive from his birth place of Haaksbergen.
