Manchester United will reflect on a satisfactory transfer window, after the signings of Antony and Martin Dubravka late in the summer transfer period gave Erik ten Hag what he wanted.
The capture of Antony from Ajax provided the new United boss with his first choice attacking target, though Ten Hag wasn't so fortunate in midfield, as United missed out on Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong after a lengthy pursuit.
They turned to Casemiro from Real Madrid as the answer in defensive midfield, adding to the signings of Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez and Christian Eriksen earlier in the window.
After losing their first two games, it remains to be seen whether United can recover their season sufficiently to give Ten Hag a solid maiden campaign in the job.
