Tottenham defender Eric Dier reckons Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is Europe's best young manager. The Spurs and England star was asked about Sunday's opponents ahead of the north London derby with Jose Mourinho's side sitting top of the Premier League table, eight points clear of their fiercest rivals.

Defeat by Wolves on Sunday has piled the pressure on Arteta, but Dier insists the Gunners are in good hands. He told Sky Sports: "They are going through a difficult period but these games it doesn't really matter who is where in the table. "We know how much of a difficult game it is going to be.

The position in the table is irrelevant. It's early on in the season for both teams. "They have a lot of quality in their team.
