Tottenham's Eric Dier will face no further action after he confronted a fan in the stands after his side's FA Cup defeat to Norwich.
Police concluded their investigation and have decided that the Englishman will not be charged. Dier could still face a ban from the footballing authorities however for his behaviour.
The 26-year-old responded after he saw his brother being approached by a fan after the match in north London. Dier had to be restrained by stewards but footage of the incident went viral.
The Metropolitan Police were forced to look into the incident but after review have said: "The investigation concluded with no further action.” Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho said that his player had acted in a way that "professionals cannot" but
