Epilepsy charity's delight as tasty Tunnock's treats add a splash of colour to its comedy night

Tunnock’s is donating hundreds of limited edition teacakes to raise money for Epilepsy Scotland.A total of 600 of the delicious Scottish fondant delicacy will be wrapped in purple foil and handed over to the charity to raffle.The Uddingston-based biscuit and confectionery company is supporting Purple Day, which was founded in Canada by a nine-year-old girl.Cassidy Megan dreamt up the idea of Purple Day back in 2008 as she struggled with her own epilepsy, and since then it has grown and takes place annually on March 26.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
