Prince William and Kate Middleton have been on a private Island getaway with their children for the summer break, according to reports. After an extremely busy year attending more official engagements, tours and public appearances than ever, the family-of-five are said to be scaling back on work duties and the limelight to spend quality time together during the six weeks holiday. It's believed the couple took Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to Tresco, part of the Isles of Scilly, for their sunny UK staycation for the third year running.

Gary Lineker has hit back against the backlash he received for his now deleted tweet about the England Women’s team in the Euro 2022 final, labelling the reaction to it “ludicrous”. The 61 year old was accused of “casual sexism” after he tweeted about footballer Chloe Kelly, who scored the winning goal for the Lionesses on Sunday, following the team’s 2-1 defeat against Germany. Gary wrote at the time: “The @Lionesses have only gone and done it, and Kelly is England's heroine, bra none.” After receiving criticism for his tweet, the former footballer promptly deleted it, but has now gone back on his actions, as he has called out those who sent backlash his way.

Prince George, nine, and Princess Charlotte, seven, have been students at Thomas's School in Battersea for the last couple of years. Their younger brother Prince Louis, four, has been a nursery student at Willcocks Nursery School in London. However, their move to Windsor means they will all be attending new schools.

Robbie Williams has resigned himself to the fact he is going through a period of hair loss after being refused a transplant. The Angels singer has been open about his experience with losing his hair over the years, and previously compared his head to a ‘baby’s bum’ due to his hair becoming increasingly thin. Hair loss among men can be common as age increases and male pattern baldness is typically treated with Finasteride and minoxidil. Other options include a hair transplant, steroids and immunotherapy, which is a chemical that is applied to bald patches. Robbie, 48, has tried various treatments including undergoing a hair transplant in 2013.

A man has been charged under the Treason Act after he was arrested while allegedly carrying a crossbow in the grounds of Windsor Castle “with intent to injure” the Queen on Christmas Day, the Crown Prosecution Service said. Scotland Yard said Jaswant Singh Chail, from Southampton, has been charged with an offence under section 2 of the Treason Act 1842.The CPS added he had been charged with “being near to the person of the Queen, wilfully producing a loaded crossbow with intent to use the same to injure the person of Her Majesty”.

Princess Charlotte is already getting into the swing of her royal duties.Kate Middleton and Prince William's only daughter made a surprise appearance at the 2022 Commonwealth Games on Tuesday alongside her royal parents, marking the first time she has joined them for a public engagement without either of her two brothers. Sporting a striped black-and-white dress with a Peter Pan collar, the youngster was hard to miss sitting with her parents in the stands of the Sandwell Aquatics Centre for the swimming competition. The princess seemingly enjoyed her day out as she was photographed smiling with her mom, reacting to the competition and giving her dad an enthusiastic thumbs up. Some very special guests are in attendance today.
