Ian Evatt says it is 'great' to still be involved in how Marlon Fossey is progressing in his comeback from injury amid future conversations Bolton Wanderers intend to have about getting the Fulham defender back this summer.
The 23-year-old's time on the pitch this season as part of an impressive loan spell at Wanderers from the Cottagers came to a premature end last month after he suffered a torn meniscus in the loss to Plymouth Argyle.
He has since had surgery on the injury, which has cut short his involvement on the pitch at the Whites this season, a big blow for both the player and Bolton after he had become a big part of Evatt's side. He made 16 appearances and scored once, helping Wanderers in their climb up the League One table over the past couple of months.
