MasterChef star Gregg Wallace has shared an emotional apology video saying: "It's obvious to me I need to take some time out." The 60-year-old said yesterday that a string of accusations relating to his behaviour on the show had come from a "handful of middle-class women of a certain age".
The BBC star has denied behaviour of a sexually harassing nature, after 13 people came forward last week with allegations of inappropriate comments.
Posting on Instagram this afternoon he seemed visibly emotional as he said: "I want to apologise for any offence that I caused with my post yesterday and any upset that I may have caused to a lot of people." He continued: "I wasn't in a good headspace when I posted it.
I've been under a huge amount of stress, a lot of emotion. I felt very alone under siege yesterday when I posted it. "It's obvious to me I need to take some time out now while this investigation is underway.
