MasterChef star John Torode's wife Lisa Faulkner has shared her joy after it was confirmed that Grace Dent will be joining him as the new host of the celebrity edition of the show.The I'm A Celeb star is taking the place of Gregg Wallace, who stood down from presenting MasterChef while allegations of historical misconduct are investigated.
John, who's fronted the show since its 2005 revival, said today: "I have loved working with Grace on MasterChef over the years.
She has been an excellent guest, an inspiring critic and also set some incredible challenges. Expertise is what MasterChef is all about, from the contestants to our wonderful production team, to us as judges.The love of food, the love of MasterChef, and that unquestionable expertise, makes Grace the perfect person to step in alongside me as judge for the forthcoming Celebrity MasterChef series." Upon hearing her mate would be joining the programme too, Lisa - a former Celebrity MasterChef winner herself - couldn't contain her excitement, posting enthusasitcally: "Go Grace! ! ! ! ! ! !" Grace, 51, is no stranger to the MasterChef kitchen having frequently appeared as a guest judge and appeared on MasterChef: Battle Of The Critics.
It has not been confirmed whether Dent will also replace Wallace on the other series in the sprawling MasterChef franchise. In a statement today Grace said: "I've been watching MasterChef since I was a girl sitting with my dad on the sofa.
