Emmerdale viewers say 'back to square one' after huge love confession

Emmerdale viewers bemoaned the show going "back to square one" after a character made a very unsurprising love confession. Charity was sent into a spin after her ex Mack asked her to look after baby Reuben.

A car crash last week left Mack's partner Chloe fighting for her life in hospital after he chose to save Charity (Emma Atkins) instead.

With Charity and Chloe both reaching for him as the vehicle teetered on the edge of a cliff, he grabbed Charity's hand. Charity surprised him in Tuesday's episode by offering to take care of Reuben.

And when Chas (Lucy Pargeter) wanted to know why she wasn't following through on her pledge to give her ex a wide berth she confessed what had happened just before the car fell.
