Emmerdale star addresses 'sad' goodbye to co-stars after crash tragedy

Emmerdale star Lisa Riley has revealed it will be a "sad" conclusion to the soap's upcoming crash storyline. In what she has described as one of the soap's biggest stunts to date, the Mandy Dingle actress will be bidding farewell to some of her co-stars as a result of two limo crashes.

Reflecting on filming for the dramatic scenes, the 48-year-old likened it to being on "a movie set" and added of the plot: "It's party night.

All the girls are glammed up but things go wrong. "A huge row breaks out in the boys' limo and there's utter chaos in the girls' limo, and both cars separately swerve off the road.They're both packed with people and one of them crashes onto a frozen lake." A trailer of the chaotic scenes shows passengers being tossed around inside the limo, while screaming in terror as the tragedy unfolds.

One limousine then ends up precariously perched on a frozen lake, leaving the villagers balancing on dangerously thin ice. It is believed that several characters won't make it out alive, while another will be left fighting for their life beneath the icy surface.The drama will involve 17 of the soap's characters, including; Mandy, Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt), Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi), Caleb Milligan (William Ash), Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and Liam Cavanagh (Johnny McPherson).
