Paula first graced the Dales in 2024 as the enigmatic Ella, a character shrouded in mystery.True to soap opera form, her shocking secret was eventually unveiled: at just 11 years old, Ella (previously known as Ruth) had committed murder, resulting in a prison sentence.
Since her release, she has led a nomadic life across the country. However, since arriving in the Dales in January, Ella found some stability, forming a bond with Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) and kindling a romance with GP Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson), which has since fizzled out.
Before her Emmerdale days, Paula portrayed Kylie Platt on Coronation Street from 2010 to 2016, the half-sister of Becky McDonald (Katherine Kelly).
