Emmerdale shares first look at destroyed village ahead of 50th anniversary 'deaths'

Emmerdale fans have been given their first glimpse at what to expect in the upcoming 50th anniversary episode – which could see multiple deaths in the village.

Show runners previously revealed the village will be changed forever as a devastating storm hits the Dales, kickstarting a chain reaction of events that will change the Dales forever.

The special anniversary episode will air on Sunday 16 October and executive producer, Jane Hudson, previously said she wanted to make the hour-long special “a treat for all our loyal viewers”.

She added that she wants to ensure fans were “gripped to the edge of their seats as the stories unfold”. In the first of a series of spoilers ITV will release over the coming days, a new picture shows the devastation set to be inflicted on the fictional Yorkshire neighbourhood.
