Emmerdale's Pete Barton star teases return to ITV soap with on-screen brother

Emmerdale and could be set to step back into the Emmerdale village. The actor appeared on the programme from 2013 and announced his departure on November 30, 2019, with his final episode airing in 2020.While Pete may have left the leafy West Yorkshire village of Emmerdale for a life away from the emotional torment that has seen his brother and mum both die.Pete said the memories of his dead family was becoming too much for him and that Emmerdale had nothing left for him as he drove away into the darkness.Now, Anthony has revealed that he could return to the quiet yet dramatic village at any given moment.

The 37-year-old told the Daily Express: "The reason I left Emmerdale is that I started embarking on my business, so it was kind of a decision which wasn't taken lightly because I absolutely loved the job. "It was great, I loved playing the character, it was kind of hard to walk away from it at the time."He went on to add: "I needed to kind of focus a little bit more on the business and now the business is up and running well, who knows?

I'd never say never."I wouldn't say I'd never go back but who knows what the future holds?"But Anthony believes it would only make sense if he returned to his old haunts with on-screen brother Ross Barton, played by Micheal Parr.He explained: "I think it would work for them to go back together, we got spoilt over the years, there was the Ross storyline - the whole 'did he kill Ross?'"Pete was a bit of a ladies' man around the village but also he lost his father, who was killed by his mother."He lost his mother, who was killed by his auntie, it's amazing that he didn't have a complete mental breakdown, to be fair."Since walking away from the Dales, Anthony has thrown himself into his own.
