Emmerdale writer Sharon Marshall has promised a "satisfying end" for murderer Meena Jutla on the hit ITV soap as the evil character takes the stand at a tense hearing in upcoming scenes.

Speaking on Monday's This Morning, Sharon, 50, teased details about the Meena storyline, reassuring fans that they won't be "left screaming" at their screens.

Sharon said: "Very gripping, we've got the Manpreet [Sharma] versus Meena now. Meena said she wants Manpreet to come, I can promise you this is going to have a very satisfying end. "You won't be left screaming, well, you might scream at the screen when all that is going on.
