Emmerdale promises 'most powerful episode ever' with first ever all-male show
ok.co.ukEmmerdale has teased “one of the most powerful” episodes ever as it prepares to air its first all-male episode. An hour-long special episode on Friday10 March will see Marlon Dingle, played by Mark Charnock, host a lock-in for male residents of the village, as they speak openly with each other about mental health.
Marlon will encourage other men to speak openly after learning his friend Paddy Kirk, played by Dominic Brunt, has been contemplating taking his own life.
Viewers learned that Paddy was contemplating suicide after he left the village following his split from Chas Dingle. Now, the show will air a powerful episode which sees the men of the show speak openly about their mental health while gathered in the Woolpack pub.
Show producer Laura Shaw told The Daily Star: "There is a whole episode where our men just talk. "There are no stunts, there are no affairs, there are no big explosive reveals, it’s just men talking about whatever they are feeling or thinking. "It’s as simple as that.
