Emmerdale Paula Lane's new TV role 'revealed' after Ella exit - and 'it's on another soap'

As it transpired, Ella had a dark history. At just 11 years old, she was responsible for the death of her best friend and served time in prison for the crime.
After her release, Ella, formerly known as Ruth, spent her life moving around the country. Ella made her entrance to the Dales in January 2024 and managed to find some stability, forming a bond with Mandy Dingle (played by Lisa Riley) and sparking a romance with GP Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson), which has since fizzled out, reports Leicestershire Live.
However, last year, reports surfaced that Paula had bid farewell to Emmerdale after a mere 16 months. Recently, the soap began setting the stage for Ella's exit.
