Emmerdale fans were stunned as Zak Dingle's 'long-lost twin' made a surprise entrance in the soap. The iconic Zak, portrayed by Steve Halliwell since 1994, was declared to have died off-camera last month.

In reality, the actor Steve passed away in December the previous year at the age of 77. As Zak had resided in Scotland, his sons Cain (played by Jeff Hordley) and Sam (portrayed by James Hooton) went north to retrieve his body and return him to the village.

Following their journey home, emotions ran high during Zaks funeral, which unfolded on screen several weeks ago. Additionally, Zak's daughter Tina Dingle, played by Samantha Power, made a startling return after 28 years since she last graced the soap.

Zaks demise has undoubtedly shaken the Dingle family to its core, given he was the patriarch. But viewers of Thursdays episode (October 31) were left astounded when they spotted someone appearing much like Zak Dingle, reports Leeds Live.
