Emmerdale viewers watched heartbreaking scenes as a struggling Lydia Dingle (played by Karen Blick) left the village during tonight's instalment, 8 December, but there could be trouble ahead as Kim Tate delivered an ominous warning to Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley).
Lydia decided she wouldn't be able to move forward from Craig Reed's evil rape unless she went to stay at her mum's for a while in the latest episode, but it came as a result of finding out that her one true friend, Kim (Claire King) had secretly been there when Craig died.
While the Dingle family still don't know that Cain was also there at the scene with Kim, his truce with the Home Farm owner is already on a knife-edge as it is.
With Lydia now out of the picture for a while, it could be that all bets are off between the longtime warring families. As Cain warned Kim that they'd come to an agreement, the businesswoman made it clear who was in charge.
