Emmerdale viewers were left scratching their heads after noticing a blunder in Dawn Fletcher's birth scene. Fans spotted that the umbilical cord wasn't cut or even mentioned after she gave birth to her baby boy during Thursday's episode (December 21).

Dawn, played by Olivia Bromley, was caught off guard when she went into labour while enjoying Christmas celebrations in the village.

She was quickly whisked away to Home Farm for a water birth, with her husband Billy by her side.The couple were overjoyed as they welcomed their son, but fans couldn't help but notice the missing detail.

Fans took to social media to share their confusion. One viewer wrote: "A baby born with NO umbilical cord....only in Emmerdale!!!" Another added: "Water baby just wow.
