One of Emmerdale's ultimate bad-boys is returning to the village. Michael Parr is to reprise his role as legendary character Ross Barton six years after leaving the village.The ITV soap announced the news after fans spotted the actor walking about in a behind-the-scenes video.
Speaking this afternoon Michael said: "I’m over the moon to be returning to Emmerdale. Ross is a character I’m extremely fond of and I’m excited to explore what he’s been up to over the past five years.
After seeing the scripts, I can’t wait for the audience to see what’s in store. One thing I can say is Ross’s return will no doubt create fireworks.” Michael played Ross - who dad to Charity's son Moses - joined Emmerdale in 2013.
He left in 2018, being written out in a storyline that saw him quit the Dales for a new life in Liverpool alongside Rebecca White.
