Arsenal forward Emmanuel Adebayor has revealed the role he had in making sure Thomas Partey signed for the Gunners this season.
The midfielder was brought in from Atletico Madrid on transfer deadline day, activating his £45m release clause. And he has hit the ground running at Mikel Arteta’s side, only missing two Europa League games this season.
The Gunners were reportedly tracking him throughout the summer, holding lengthy talks with the Spanish side before making their move.
But Adebayor, who scored 62 goals in more than 140 appearances under Arsene Wenger, admitted his role in making sure the midfielder moved to Arsenal.
