Emma Roberts has officially joined the cast of Madame Web, according to Deadline.The actress, 31, joins a cast that includes 50 Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson and Euphoria actressSydney Sweeney.Isabel Merced of Dora and the Lost City of Gold fame, The Serpent actor Tahir Rahim and The In Between star Celeste O'Connor will also appear in the film.

Clarkson is set to direct the Spider-Man spin-off film. Madame Web is a clairvoyant mutant who can see the future of superheroes with spider themes.Johnson will play the titular character who usually appears as a blind and paralyzed woman hooked up to an intricate series of machines to stay alive.
