Emily Atack has hit back at critics who have condemned Sarah Everard’s vigil in Clapham. Following the horrific murder of Sarah, hundreds gathered in Clapham Common on Saturday to pay respect to the 33-year-old.
However, the event has sparked much debate online as mourners flocked to the location amid the pandemic and strict social distancing guidelines.
As images from the vigil surfaced online on Saturday evening, a number of Twitter users were infuriated by the huge crowds of people.
When one unimpressed social media commented on a photo shared by Sue Perkins: “Shocking, they should go home,” TV star Emily hit back in support of the mourners. “What if it was your daughter?” she penned in defence.
