Amanda Holden has been criticised by many for her recent breach of strict nationwide lockdown rules.The Britain’s Got Talent judge was reported to the police following her trip from her home in Richmond upon Thames, Surrey to Cornwall.

However, Emily Andrea, 29, has spoken out in defence of the star in her latest column in OK! magazine. She said: “Lots of people have criticised Amanda Holden for what has been reported as breaking lockdown rules by travelling to her parents’ home in Cornwall.

But I feel there may be more to the story.” Emily continues: “She has elderly parents and said she received a distressing call from them, so if she felt it was an emergency she was only doing the right thing for herself and her family.
