A man was found dead after emergency services were called to a house in Leigh. Police and paramedics were called to Cotton Street yesterday morning (Tuesday).
Eyewitnesses reported seeing multiple police and ambulance vehicles stationed on nearby Clifton Street at around 8.30am. A police spokesperson said the body of a man was sadly found at a property.

A second man was taken to hospital for treatment from the scene. In a statement, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "Officers were alerted by NWAS after the body of man was found in an address at Cotton Street, Leigh, yesterday (23/5/23). "A second man was taken to hospital for treatment.
