Taylor Swift

Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

He took charge of his family's real-estate business in 1971, renamed it The Trump Organization, and expanded its operations from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan.

The company built or renovated skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Trump later started various side ventures, mostly by licensing his name. He owned the Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants from 1996 to 2015, and produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television show, from 2003 to 2015. Forbes estimates his net worth to be $3.1 billion.

Elon Musk has responded to Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Kamala Harris in the US presidential election in a post on X.Entrepreneur Musk, who owns X and renamed the platform from Twitter last year, has endorsed Harris’ rival in the election race, Donald Trump, and in recent years has increasingly voiced support for right-wing politicians. After Swift announced on Instagram yesterday (September 10) that she will be voting for Harris and her running mate Tim Walz in the upcoming election, Musk replied on X, “Fine Taylor … you win … I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life.”The reference to Swift’s cats is in response to the singer’s post, in which she included a photo of herself holding Benjamin Button, one of her three cats.

She signed off her message as “Taylor Swift, Childless Cat Lady” too, clearly poking fun at recent comments made by Trump’s running mate JD Vance, in which he described prominent Democrat politicians as “childless cat ladies”.Fine Taylor … you win … I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) September 11, 2024Musk has since doubled down on his comments, posting another message on X today in which he wrote, “Toxoplasma gondii is a danger to our democracy.” The parasite sexually reproduces exclusively in cats, and studies in the past have linked it to conditions including obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and schizophrenia – as a result, some news outlets have called the findings “crazy cat-lady syndrome”.Toxoplasma gondii is a danger to our democracy— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) September 11, 2024When Vance first made his “childless cat lady” comments, they were met with an outpouring of criticism, most notably from women without children – Jennifer.
