Did you ever have a TV show you loved so much that you'd run home from school just to get home in time to watch it? Well if you did, there's a decent chance it was made in Manchester.
These days there are hundreds of channels to choose from and streaming services like Netflix, Apple TV and Disney+ at our fingertips.
But back in the '70s, '80s and early '90s, there were only four channels to choose from including BBC and ITV. Many of the best shows of the era were made by Manchester based Granada TV and Chorlton-based animation studio Cosgrove Hall.
With the sad death this week of writer and actor Brian Trueman, who wrote some of Cosgrove Hall's most popular shows, we thought we'd list some of the classic children's TV he and others have created in the region.
