Manchester United chief Ed Woodward has tonight resigned as executive vice-chairman of the Premier League club.The news comes as big clubs begin to drop out of the European Super League which he helped form in recent months.
Woodward has stepped down after universal backlash for the proposed project, which could now collapse just days after being confirmed.The United chief, who also left his role at UEFA earlier this week, planned to step down from his role at Old Trafford in the summer but has decided to move on early.
