Tom's death was announced via his wife, Kelsey, who said: "Tom passed away peacefully earlier today with all of his family by his side.
Our hearts are broken, Tom was the centre of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence." Tom revealed in 2020 that he was suffering with an inoperable, stage 4 brain tumour known as as glioblastoma.
Leading tributes were his bandmates in The Wanted Max George, Jay McGuinness, Nathan Sykes and Siva Kaneswaran, who said Tom "was our brother, words can’t express the loss and sadness we feel.
