In a fitting tribute to her legacy on the Square, Eastenders actress Danielle Harold, 30, who played Lola Pearce-Brown, has created the ultimate lasting memory - a simple but incredibly poignant tattoo. The platinum-blonde star waves goodbye to character Lola this evening as she finally succumbs to her brain cancer.
In incredibly sad and final scenes to air this evening on BBC One, the actress bids a tragic farewell to her on-screen family including husband Jay, played by Jamie Borthwick and grandad Billy, played by Perry Fenwick.
She recently joined both in a video shared to the official EastEnders Facebook page, reminiscing and watching old re-runs of Lola's best bits from over the years at Albert Square.
In the video, Danielle revealed a secret that happened behind-the-scenes on Lola and Jay's final day trip to Margate. She said: "I can show you this guys, so whilst we were filming in Margate, okay, we might have had a little cheeky souvenir that we took back from Margate." Lifting the leg of her trouser to reveal the dainty inking, the added: "Some of the crew had it done as well," before Jamie added, "We got a little tattoo." Danielle touchingly added: "So we will never, ever forget Margate or EE." The sweet and delicate tattoo depicts the wiggly line of the River Thames, famously seen in the opening credits of the BBC soap.
