EastEnders icon Hannah Waterman, who famously played Laura Beale until 2004, gears up for a return to the world of soaps. It's been nearly two decades since she left Albert Square after her character was killed off.

Hannah bid farewell to the British audience in 2013 with an appearance on Doctors before relocating down under, and has since featured in several Australian dramas.

Now, she is set to appear in Home and Away, taking on the role of a magistrate, much to UK fans' delight come December. An insider opened up to The Sun about Hannah's new gig: "Hannah moved to Australia years ago for a new life but she's still acting." "She loved dipping her toes back into the world of soap briefly and who knows it could mean she finds her way back more permanently." Hannah celebrated her nuptials with former The Bill star, Huw Higginson, two years back.

Huw sweetly commemorated their special day on social media in October 2022, sharing a heartwarming photograph of the pair with their son Jack, 11, cruising around Sydney Harbour.
