Despite not clinching the trophy, the Lionesses have been a force of nature throughout both in their defensive strength and attacking capability.The team have been extensively praised for how far they made in the tournament since the final whistle blew.
Following their loss, the Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer suggested on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the team should be recognised "by the honours system" for making it so far at all.
