This is not a good time at all."Nominated for Best News Presenter and Best News Broadcast, Eamonn reflected on their over decade-long marriage of 14 years, saying, "It's too early to say but I hope we can still be friends."The TV personality, who has been dealing with severe back pain that necessitated a state-of-the-art wheelchair at the event, also revealed his concerns about his health, noting to the Mirror that he feels like he's living on "borrowed time" after his father passed away at 65 from a heart attack.Now 64, Eamonn has faced several health challenges in recent years, culminating in the announcement of his divorce from Ruth last month.Despite considering skipping the awards due to intense pain, Eamonn managed to attend thanks to his new wheelchair equipped with various features. "I wasn't going to come, but I've got this new chair with all these gadgets," he explained.
Eamonn has spoken out before about the struggles with his back pain, which he finds limiting. "I get very resentful that I'm not the way I used to be but I get on with it," he remarked."I work hard at trying to walk.
It's very hard to get through a normal day but I have help from people around me."He had previously praised Ruth for her constant support.
