The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has announced it will unveil proposals to revamp disability benefits early next year.
This news comes as the Secretary of State introduced a Get Britain Working white paper this week, aimed at reforming employment support to assist more individuals in their job search.
Labour is aiming to increase the current employment rate from 75%, as reported in the latest figures for July to September 2024, to an ambitious 80%.
The strategy involves transforming the nation's Jobcentres from a benefits monitoring entity into a new National Jobs and Careers Service.
