Millions of people on disability benefits including Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Disability Living Allowance (DLA) and Attendance Allowance will see their payments rise by 6.7 per cent next April after the uprating was confirmed by Chancellor Jeremy Hunt during the recent Autumn Statement.

People in Scotland claiming Adult or Child Disability Payment will find out their annual uprating on December 19 during the Scottish Budget, however, these devolved benefits are expected to rise in line with the UK Government to prevent a two-tier benefits system.

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has now published proposed weekly payment rates for all disability and working age benefits, while HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) has shared planned increases to Child Benefit, Tax Credits and other payments it delivers.

The full guide to all proposed new benefits and payment rates for the 2024/25 financial year can be found on the GOV.UK website here.
