A BOOZED-UP driver who got behind the wheel of a car after guzzling more than five-and-a-half times the legal amount of alcohol has been jailed for six months.Neil Grant, 54, of Johnston Street in Airdrie, was drink-driving on his home street on January 27 while under a court disqualification.He was also driving without insurance.Defence lawyer Ian Smart told Airdrie Sheriff Court: “It is such a high count.“This is his fifth conviction for drink-driving.”Sheriff Morag Shankland told Grant: “It is the end of the line for you.“The alcohol level is so high and you also flaunted a court ban.“There are no options open to me other than to impose a custodial sentence.”Grant was jailed for six months, which the sheriff reduced from 10 months
