Viewers of the hit BBC show Dragons' Den were taken aback during a recent episode when entrepreneurs boldly turned down an offer from dragon Peter Jones.

Reid and Trib stepped into the den to seek £50,000 for a three percent stake in their umbrella company Gilley; a business providing umbrellas featuring a unique plastic case doubling as a handle part.

Impressing with their pitch, they caught Peter's interest. He praised the duo's business, saying: "I think that you have invented something that is really clever," but added: "you would need a lot of my time." He then put forward his terms: "My offer does come at a price", proposing £50,000 for 20% of Gilley.

Despite the tempting opportunity, Reid and Trib countered, seeking to keep equity loss minimal by suggesting a five percent share for Peter's involvement.
