Download Festival has become the latest victim of the coronavirus pandemic sweeping the globe. Just hours after the cancellation of this year's Isle of Wight festival, Download's organisers issued a statement confirming their event will not be going ahead too.
The event was due to take place in June and feature headliners including KISS and Iron Maiden. "Download festival will no longer be taking place this year.
We've been closely monitoring this unprecedented situation and it's become clear that it just isn't possible for the 2020 festival to go ahead," they said. "This decision hasn't been taken lightly and we’re beyond disappointed.
