Doonhame Festival is a hit in Dumfries despite the rain
dailyrecord.co.ukRain did not stop play as festival-goers enjoyed all that four stages, a main arena, and the stunning grounds of the Crichton Estate in Dumfries had to offer on Friday and Saturday.The Doonhame Festival had revellers dancing and singing along to the likes of Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Cast, Bay City Rollers, Gun, From The Jam and Bez’s DJ Set among many others.Devine Tension’s Drag Disco Dome also provided 11 hours of fun including headliner, Crystal, from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.Among the live music was a showcase of local and national breaking artists in DMC Presents We Are.It was followed up on Sunday with the family-orientated Doonhame Festival Kids with youngsters enjoying the experience which included live performances from Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande tribute acts, in a day packed with activities and music.Organisers thanked everyone who helped make the events possible.
