Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is confident he has found the perfect fit with the signing of Donny van de Beek.
The Dutch midfielder, 23, has penned a long-term deal with the Red Devils and arrived at Carrington for his first training session with the club on Wednesday.
Van de Beek was won over by Solskjaer's determination to bring him to the club - but he certainly did his reasearch. And the manager has now revealed he sought approval from Timothy Fosu-Mensah before getting a deal done.
Fosu-Mensah played alongside Van de Beek as a youngster at the Ajax academy before he left for Manchester United in 2014 but the pair have remained international team-mates for the Netherlands.
